Your Questions Answered

01.

Do I Need Planning Permission?

Most of the time you will not as your new extension will often fall under permitted development rights, as a general rule, your extensions needs to be a single storey in height and also not project more than 3m for terraced or semi detached properties and 4m for detached properties.

Wrap around structures will require planning permission, we will advise you at the point of survey whether you will need to apply for planning permission.

03.

How Is The Base Constructed?

We offer a steel constructed base which reduces foundation digouts and means we are not constrained by drains, unlevel ground, sloping sites and any other costly hazard that often cause significant problems for traditionally built extensions.

The floor is finished with a moisture barrier, 9mm hardwood, 100mm of insulation and then 22mm chipboard on top ready for your choice of floor coverings.

U-Value of 0.18 - 0.15W/m2K.

05.

Do You Offer Two Story Extensions?

Unfortunately not, we offer single storey extensions, conservatories and orangeries. We are able to keep project times down and in turn waiting lists short by doing this.

07.

Will My New Roof Be Strong Enough To Stand On For Access To Clean Windows/Property Maintenance?

Yes it will be, when accessing and standing on your roof, please take care where stepping or apply pressure as to not damage any roof tiles.

02.

Do I Need Building Control Approval?

Yes, all of our extensions meet all necessary building control regulations for complete piece of mind and also come with a 25 year guarantee.

04.

How Are The Walls Constructed?

The walls are constructed using 160x80 steel ring beam that has been specifically designed for home extensions and projects requiring building regulations.

They are constructed with moisture barriers, insulation and plasterboard already in place for a fast, efficient and cost effective solution.

U-Value up to 0.18 /Wm2k when fully finished.

External finishes include a range of brick or stone finishes, ready to render board of cladding exterior finish.
